John has over 40 years of experience serving clients in the financial services industry, and holds various professional certifications, such as the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.  He began his career after obtaining an Agricultural Engineering degree from the University of Illinois where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.  Over the years, he has been affiliated with large companies, such as Prudential and LPL Financial, but has been independent since 2000.  In 2016, John was a co-founder of LifeWise Wealth Advisors, along with Caleb Smoes.

John is the proud father of three children – Jack, Ben, and Emily; and Papa to two grandchildren Evelyn and Teddy. He lives on the Foley family farm in Monticello where he enjoys maintaining and improving the land.  With children living on each coast, John enjoys travel to visit family and see the world, having recently traveled to the Basque Country of Spain and Hawaii.
